Sansan’s One Global Meeting – Event Report

In July 2025, Sansan Global held its One Global Meeting, in Bangkok, Thailand – a first-time chance to bring together, face-to-face, Sansan’s internal group members who drive overseas business. Members from Japan, Thailand, and Singapore converged for one day, which became a turning point moving toward the next phase.

The One Global Meeting was organized at a time of structural change, with a new Managing Director and amid the ongoing challenges of our ambitious business goals. The aim of this meeting was to reaffirm Sansan Global’s commitment to working together as one team. It was also the first time that global members themselves exchanged ideas and engaged in open discussion about the path forward for business growth.

We’d like to share the sense of unity and the value of gathering in person that emerged from the energy of this on-site get-together and the many dialogues and interactions it enabled.

Lowering the psychological barriers to enable dialogue

The event began with an icebreaker in which participants shared their own situations and their thoughts and feelings. Everyone set ground rules, such as “No need for perfect English” and “Open and constructive conversation.” This foundation created an atmosphere in which people could exchange views across differences in language and culture. The mood in the room quickly lightened and the participants felt even more positive about the upcoming discussions.

Cross-cultural experiences to deepen mutual understanding
Experiencing diverse values firsthand through roleplay

Next, the participants took part in Sansan Global’s unique “culture roleplay,” letting them experience different cultures. Members of each nationality acted out the roles of another culture in specific business scenarios.

For example, Thai or Singaporean members played the role of a Japanese counterpart, then Japanese members explained the cultural background and values behind those reactions. Amid lots of laughter, there were also many “Oh, now I get it!” moments, making for a fun, lively, and enlightening exchange.

Articulating the values
we hold dear as Sansan Global

After the roleplay helped reinforce the value of diverse perspectives, the next activity focused on putting into words the values we want to uphold as Sansan Global. Teams comprising members from Japan, Thailand, and Singapore, spanning different roles and functions, held lively discussions.

Values such as “sharing and adoption” and “respect” were highlighted, and a shared set of guiding principles began to take shape. Notably, many teams brought up “direct communication,” which stood out as a symbolic theme and seems likely to become a keyword for Sansan Global going forward.

Sansan leaders on the origins of
our founding and the vision ahead

CEO of Sansan Global

In the afternoon session, Sansan executives driving Sansan’s global growth gave powerful messages.

First was Global CEO Kei Tomioka, who is one of Sansan’s founders. Kei shared stories from the company’s early days and spoke about the founding spirit that continues to guide the business. He emphasized that, no matter how difficult the challenges, business growth comes from steady daily effort, and highlighted the importance of that commitment.

Next, Managing Director Kazu Fukuda spoke passionately about the future of Sansan’s global strategy. Since this was the first time all members had gathered in person under Kazu’s leadership, expectations and questions poured in, raising the energy and momentum in the room even further.

The main part of the event was the open space technology (OST) session, in which every participant took an active role in leading the discussions.

Concrete themes such as, “How can we build an organization that better understands local needs?” were raised, and many ideas for shaping the future emerged directly from the participants.

Bonds deepened among members
by meeting face-to-face

The event concluded with a toast from Kei Tomioka, which kicked off the networking reception. Over food and lively conversation, the members deepened their connections. The day closed with remarks from Kazu Fukuda, leaving the room filled with a strong sense of optimism and the spirit of moving forward together.

Taking new steps forward as the Global One Team

The One Global Meeting in Bangkok was a truly special day for Sansan Global, amid our organizational change and ambitious goals. It gave everyone the chance to reaffirm their identity as one team and to take steps forward together toward the future.

The mutual understanding, connections, and ideas developed here will become a driving force that pushes our global business ahead.
